Shifting Perceptions Inc has been in operation since 2009.

Leanne Taylor, has been working as a Registered Therapist since 2009, she has been in the field of Social Work since 1996.

With her vast knowledge of trauma, she is able to effectively work with families. She specializes in parenting challenges, injured workers, PTSD, and marital therapy. She has also worked with people who live with personality disorders and other mental health issues.

She continues to work with injured workers as an independently contracted Social Worker, since 2009 with PerceptionsBC which is a part of Shifting Perceptions Inc.

Leanne Taylor has now opened up a private practice in Richmond that specializes in EMDR, Somatic Therapy, and Trauma Informed counselling for survivors of trauma and their families.

Leanne uses EMDR, CBT, Somatic Therapy, EFT, Somatic, Narrative Therapy, and DBT as modalities of service.

Leanne also works with couples and individuals in mediation with spouses who are in the process of separating/divorcing. She helps her clients organize their needs and wants and helps to explore and explain the court process. Together they draft up court documents that can be then presented to lawyers for review, and thus save $1000 of dollars in legal fees.

Leanne has her own home-based business but she is happy to travel to meet clients in their own homes. This mobile service will also have a travel fee attached. She will travel from Squamish to Hope as part of her catchment area. Any other locations can be done through secured online visual programs (skype or zoom).
